Travel Essentials!

Hello my loves, how have you been? hopefully good!
it's exactly four days till I go on holiday and it was only appropriate if I shared with you guys what my travel essentials are, so here it goes!

Number 1:
My first essential is the key to get out of this country and reach the sunny side of India, and that key happens to be my passport. (how exciting *joke*) (p.s it's not in the pic since mother has my passport...I can't be trusted with it)
Number 2:
My joint second is essential has to be my glasses and sunglasses, since I'm one of those people that can barely see, so I could get lost within the airport if I don't have my glasses, and I need my sunglasses to shield my eyes from the sun...or else it'll burn...(a very bad joke...someone stop me)
Number 3:
My third essential has to be a good book to read, since travelling sometimes can be boring, especially when you are waiting to board a flight, which is why this might be the perfect time to read that good book you've been dying to read however had no time. (this is the perfect opportunity)
Number 4:
My fourth essential has to be my fuji film Instax mini, since who doesn't like to capture amazing moments and to get physical cute polaroids instantly?!
Number 5:
My fifth essential has to be my camera, which I may use to vlog, but I'll definitely will use it to take pictures of beautiful places in India.
Number 6:
My joint sixth essential has to be my 17 small make up bag and my large Estee Lauder make up bag, which will contain my daily make up essentials.
Number 7:
My seventh essential has to be my Tablet, since I'm hoping to get work done over my holiday, since college life never ends...
Number 8:
lastly my essential will be my Ipod and earphones, since it's always nice to listen to music while reading.

And that pretty much covers my travel essentials, I hope all of you have a well and deserved summer, and try to do things you've been wanting to do, it could even be to catch up on your favourite TV show or to try and eat more healthier, what ever it is I hope you succeed!

Writing slump.

hello friends!

there's not much to say, but for me to say how I have been feeling for the past few weeks has been incredibly hard for me to get it into words, since writers like me can be demotivated to write sometimes, whether it could be you're busy with life or just feeling completely lazy (hate to admit it, but I fall into that category), here in this blog post of mine, I shall try my very own best to explain to you what I have been going through.
But before I start, I would like you to get a cup of tea (how British of me) or coffee if you prefer, and get comfy!

What is a writing slump?
Writing slump is when you are just not in the zone to write, which can be for many reasons here are a few common reasons and solutions for them:

Writing slump can sometimes be when you are sat on your bed with your laptop and trying to write something, and no matter how much you try it just doesn't sound right, this could be because you are not at all interested on what you are writing about or it could be because you are getting distracted by opening up other web browsers, or checking your social media.
it could be because you are just tired and you are caught up with your hectic work schedule, since for everyone writing can be something they do in their spare time, and unfortunately at some point in your life we become very busy, with school work or house work or just work in general, which could be the reason you're in a writing slump.
Another reason why you may be in a writing slump could be because you are pressuring yourself into writing, this won't help you at all when you are in writing slump, since you are already demotivated with writing and pressuring yourself will only push you into a deeper de-motivation for writing.
Lastly you may be in a writing slump, because you not letting yourself have breaks with writing, what I mean by this is, as aspiring writers we should take some time off of writing, this would help us to come up with fresh new ideas to write as well as recharge us mentally and physically.

as I have explained to you some common reasons of writing slump, it's only fair if I share some of my secrets on how to get out of them:

1) if you are not in the mood to write, then don't write, since forcing yourself to write is only going to make it impossible for you too write something you are proud off.
2) take breaks off writing, once in a while, this will help you come up with better ideas of what to write, as well as keep your writing more interesting.
3) if you are in a writing slump, occupy yourself by doing something fun, this will help you to be more positive in your mindful aspect of your life.
4) have a note book, where you'll be able to think of things you can write, and even draft write, which will make your writing life a lot more easier, trust me on that.
5) create a day or time on when you want to write, this would be good since you can find the perfect time to write on a hectic schedule, therefore you'll be able to balance your workload.
6) lastly, accept the fact you are in a writing slump, and that it's okay to be in one, no matter how long you are in one, it could be for few days or a week, or maybe even more than that, it's okay to be in one, since everyone goes through it once in a while.

I hope this blog post, helped my fellow writers out there, who are in a writing slump, and I hope my solutions will help you now or later on in the future.
happy writing my fellow friends.

Top 5 Books you should read

Hello friends!

how has your day been? hopefully good I hope, as you may or may not know I’m a book worm who quiet enjoys having a good book to read but sometimes you can pick up a book and never quiet finish it since you it becomes to repetitive and boring so in this new blog post I will give you top 5 books I think you will enjoy reading in your spare time.

1) Looking for Alaska by John Green:
John Green is known to have a wide audience that are mainly aimed at the younger generation, his style of writing is simple and based on genre of fiction. In looking for Alaska he uses various vocabulary but still makes sure the main point of the book is the subject focus. Mr Green writes in the point of view of Miles Halter through out the whole book, however John Green focuses on three characters in particular, one being Miles Halter who happens to be the guy whose seeking his great perhaps in his life and realises staying at home in Florida won’t give him a great perhaps, therefore he decides to join Culver Creek Boarding school, in order to get his great perhaps, John green describes Miles Halter to be a guy who has no clue on who he is and is trying to find himself through out the book, until he meets Alaska Young the girl whose a mystery to all, but has Miles Halters heart, and lastly The Colonel who happens to be the room mate of Miles Halter and his some his friend, even though they have a rough start they become stronger together later on the book.
this book and the characters are so intriguing it makes you want to read more of the book day by day until you finish it, its definitely a page turner, and if you’re into a mystery and a tragic love story then this book is for you.
favourite quote in this book:
” she loved mysteries so much that she became one.”
I like this quote so much because it described Alaska Young perfectly as a character in the book.

2) Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Rainbow Rowell’s style of writing is simple and enjoyable, she writes her characters in order for readers to relate with them, and each time you read the book you feel like you are the characters yourself. Fangirl was a very funny and heart warming book with Cath who just started her first year at college and happens to be a huge fangirl of simon & snow series and decides to create her very own fan fic, which is a huge success in the internet world, together cath and the readers meets new people in see her develop into being her own
favourite quote in this book:
“but there’s nothing more profound than creating something out of nothing”

3) Entangled by Cat Clarke-
Cat Clarke is definitely amazing creating a book that keeps you on edge by each end of the chapter, by wanting more and questioning yourself about what could happen to the main characters. this is a book that I have read two times, because its that amazing! if you want a book that’ll keep you hooked for the whole day this is certainly for you!
favourite quote in this book:
“that’s what I’m left with: just me. And that’s what scares me more than anything. Me.”

4) The perks of being a wallflower by Stephen Chbosky-
this happens to be a successful motion picture to, which I also love, but i would recommend you to read the book first in order to understand the movie in depth, since the books are always 10 times more detailed than the actual movie, since movies are only 1 hour and 45 minutes long, which won’t be enough to portray everything that was in the book.
The book itself was great when it came to intertwining with the books title, since they are genuinely great perks of being a wall flower, which made many readers more able to understand the characters. This book is definitely perfect for a short summer read that gives you all the feels.
favourite quote from this book:
“we accept the love, we think we deserve”

5) Love & Misadventure by Lang Leav-
if you’re looking for a bit of light reading then this book is for you, this book is full of poems about love in general with few illustrations by Lang Leav herself, you’ll definitely enjoy this book of poems, this is perfect for light reading, since the poems are sweet and short.
favourite poem in this book:
Afraid to love.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post until next time, happy reading and writing my fellow friends!
